A valve that requires manual opening and closing is called as a manual valve. This kind of valve will have either hand lever or hand wheel, so that a operator can manually operate it. The primary functions of manual valve are to start and stop the flow of liquids or gases. If the hand wheel or hand lever is placed in a midstroke position, that which there is a partial flow which can cause issues, like turbulence.
